E95-DTU Series Product Overview

The E95-DTU Series is an industrial-grade LoRaWAN node data transmission radio launched by Chengdu Ebyte, designed based on the LoRaWAN 1.0.3 protocol standard. It supports CLASS A/CLASS C device types and ABP/OTAA activation methods. The series includes two core models: E95-DTU(400LN22-485) (supporting EU433/CN470 frequency bands) and E95-DTU(900LN22-485) (compatible with EU868/US915 and other global frequency bands). Featuring an RS485 interface, DIN-rail mounting structure, and 8~28V wide voltage supply, it operates reliably in -40℃ to +85℃ industrial environments. Leveraging LoRa spread spectrum technology, it achieves a communication distance of up to 5km in open areas, providing stable, long-range wireless data transmission for IoT and industrial automation scenarios.

Core Technologies & Innovative Highlights

  1. LoRaWAN Protocol Optimization

    • Supports CLASS A (low-power bidirectional transmission) and CLASS C (continuous reception mode) to meet diverse power consumption and real-time requirements.

    • Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) technology: Automatically adjusts transmission rate based on signal strength to balance distance and bandwidth, enhancing network capacity.

    • FHSS Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum: 52 frequency points with automatic synchronization, delivering superior anti-interference performance compared to traditional fixed-frequency modules, ideal for dense multi-device communication.

  2. Industrial-Grade Reliability Design

    • Multi-Layer Protection: Reverse power protection, overvoltage protection, antenna surge protection, and isolated communication/power interfaces, complying with EMC Level 3 standards.

    • Wide Temperature & Voltage Range: Stable operation from -40℃ to +85℃, 3.3~5.5V wide voltage supply (12V/24V recommended), with a maximum transmit power of 22dBm (software-adjustable).

    • Low-Power Mode: Receive current as low as 40mA, sleep current at μA-level, suitable for battery-powered applications.

  3. Flexible Configuration & Expandability

    • Two Activation Methods: OTAA (Over-the-Air Activation) and ABP (Activation by Personalization), supporting warm start (no re-activation required after reset in OTAA mode).

    • AT Commands & PC Configuration: Fast parameter setup (frequency, power, rate, etc.) via serial debug tools or Ebyte configuration software; supports scheduled data collection (cycle: 10~86400s) via scripting.

    • Transparent Transmission & Script Mode: Default transparent transmission mode; switchable to script mode for automatic sensor data collection and upload, reducing system integration complexity.
