Superheterodyne architecture provides much higher receiving sensitivity, stronger anti-interference performance and more stable reception in complex environments. It can reliably receive weaker signals over longer distances, making it more suitable for industrial and security scenarios than simple ASK receivers.
No. Transmitter and receiver must operate at exactly the same frequency band to establish communication. Mismatched frequencies will result in no data reception at all.
Obstacles such as walls, metal structures and trees will attenuate RF signals. Environmental electromagnetic interference, mismatched antennas, and insufficient supply voltage will also shorten the effective range. For best performance, use a matched antenna and install the module in an open position.
E160 series modules work with simple GPIO data input/output. For basic remote control, you only need to connect data pins to your MCU or encoder chip; no complex firmware programming is required for the RF module itself.
Yes. The E160-M series features ultra-low receive current (2.9mA) and low transmit current, making it well suited for battery-powered remote controls, wireless sensors and portable devices. For intermittent operation, you can further cut power consumption by powering off the module when idle.
