Intelligent Networking Modes

The NE2-S1W is uniquely versatile because it combines wired and wireless connectivity into one small footprint.

1. Ethernet Only

The device connects solely via Ethernet (Default Static IP: 192.168.3.7). In this mode, the WiFi acts as an AP (Access Point). You can simply connect your phone or laptop to the module's WiFi and access 192.168.10.1 in your browser to configure settings.

2. WiFi Only (STA)

The module connects to your network as a Station (STA) via 2.4G WiFi. In this mode, DHCP is enabled by default to ensure quick integration into existing wireless infrastructures.

3. Auto-Selection (Ethernet Priority)

This is the ultimate "fail-safe" mode. The module prioritizes the Ethernet connection. You can set up to three "Ping" target addresses. If the Ethernet link fails to ping these addresses, the module will automatically switch to WiFi to ensure your data transmission remains uninterrupted.

Note: In Auto-Selection mode, the system utilizes TCP/HTTP/MQTT Client modes. The switching mechanism is triggered based on user-defined intervals (60s to 65,535s) to maintain maximum uptime.
