Multi-channel full-duplex LoRaWAN gateway

1. Industry pain points
LoRaWAN is a widely used wireless connection technology in the wireless IoT industry. Most of the LoRaWAN gateways currently on the market are TDD (time division duplex communication), and the most receiving and sending channels are 8RX+1TX or 16RX+2TX. The data return methods are mostly Ethernet and 4G. TDD has many shortcomings compared to FDD (frequency division duplex), such as unreasonable uplink and downlink channel ratio, downlink channel congestion that seriously affects network capacity, small coverage radius, limited transmit power, and the need for more complex network planning and optimization technologies, etc.

2. Solution
Our company provides a multi-channel full-duplex IoT gateway based on LoRaWAN to solve the problems of low operating efficiency, weak signal strength, unreasonable allocation of hardware resources, and serious imbalance in the ratio of uplink and downlink channels in the existing technology - E870-L470LG11 uses a duplexer to change the gateway from TDD to FDD, while increasing the number of downlink channels, providing higher communication capacity of the LoRaWAN gateway, and improving equipment operation efficiency, communication quality and network capacity;

The LoRaWAN gateway using TDD only transmits through one channel, which has disadvantages in communication efficiency. The gateway developed based on the FDD scheme transmits and receives data through two independent channels. One channel is used to send data downward, and the other channel is used to transmit data upward. There is a protection frequency band between the two channels to prevent adjacent The transmitter and receiver interfere with each other, and the efficiency and reliability of data transmission are higher.

3. Program advantages
Compared with ordinary LoRaWAN gateways, this gateway also includes the following special services:
Communication full-duplex technology;
Support OPENWRT technology;
Supports standard LoRaWAN server access: It can access standard LoRaWAN servers to realize data reporting and acceptance between the gateway and the server, such as TTN service, chirpstack and other open source servers.
Supports standard LoRaWAN node access: compatible with our E78-LN series LoRaWAN nodes, and supports other standard LoRaWAN protocol nodes in the 470 frequency band on the market;
Supports multiple working modes: The gateway supports CLASS-A and CLASS-C working modes;
Supports network port attribute switching: You can switch network port attributes and WAN/LAN port switching in settings;
Support WiFi: The device supports AP/STA two modes;
Supports load balancing multi-network port flow control settings, with network port priority, enablement, flow control ratio and other working methods
Firewall, NAT, DMZ host, black and white list of access control, IP speed limit; QOS, traffic service, speed limit can be based on interface;
Support FRP intranet penetration: Intranet penetration can access devices on the intranet (such as this machine) through the public network. There are many intranet penetration tools at present, and FRP intranet penetration uses its high-performance reverse proxy. The application not only allows customers to easily penetrate the internal network and provide services to the external network, but also has stable and efficient performance and supports multiple protocol types, etc.
Support VPN

The device can be used as a VPN client, supporting pptp, l2tp protocol types, etc.
In addition to E870-L470LG11, the E870-L series has more products, including all regional versions launched by the LoRaWAN Alliance, covering standard frequency bands such as CN470/EU868/US915, to fully cover customer needs; at the same time, it can be used in smart homes , Internet of Things, remote monitoring, automation industry and other fields have been widely used.
Based on the above advantages, the multi-channel full-duplex LoRaWAN gateway has high application and research value, and the wider the market audience, the better the market competitiveness.
